Located on the outskirts of the small and quiet mountain village of Belerda (municipality of Caso, Asturias), in a farm facing south and bordered by the Quixaorio stream, Los Riegos is a rural guesthouse with all the charm of the traditional local architecture. Surrounded by forests and mountains, it is at the centre of the Redes Natural Park, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO. It is a village house, a rural accommodation rented by rooms.

The rooms

Each of the seven spacious double rooms is decorated differently, with a simple rustic style, taking care of all the details and always keeping in mind the warmth and comfort of our guests. Some rooms have one double bed and others have twin beds. All rooms have a full bathroom.

Three of the seven rooms are located on the lower floor, while the other four are on the upper floor, arranged around a roofed porch for common use. One of the rooms also has a small seating area with a sofa bed that allows a third person to sleep comfortably and a gallery area for private use.

Common areas

On the ground floor of the hotel there is a spacious lounge with a fireplace and large windows from which you can observe the range of colours of the chestnut, oak and beech forests that dominate the landscape. An ideal place to rest and relax, the visitors will find in it a good selection of books about the environment (bird guides, plant guides, etc.), about the Redes Natural Park, other protected natural areas nearby and Asturias in general. Directly connected to this main hall, there is a multipurpose room that can be used either as a dining-room for breakfast or dinner, or a board games or reading area on days when the weather is not so generous. The upper floor, which is accessed by an external covered staircase, is occupied by a large common gallery to read, relax and enjoy the good summer temperature.

With excellent views on the beautiful landscape, and in good weather, the outdoor terraces and the large garden are the best places to have breakfast and quietly plan the day's activities. Also to simply rest while listening to the sound of the river or, in the autumnal season, the bellowing of the deer. In days of orbayu, the covered porches allow gathering or reading, while, when the heat is oppressive, we recommend the covered gallery of the upper floor, where a gentle breeze always blows.
