Knowing our Enviroment
(It’s worth spending) a few days exploring the picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes of the Redes Nature Reserve. This can be done by car but it’s highly recommendable to walk along the numerous trails or mountain routes, which vary in length and difficulty (Tabayón del Mongayu, Ruta del Alba, Tiatordos, Brañagallones, Los Arrudos).
We will be very happy to share with our guests all our experience as field biologists and supply accurate information about the Park to help you plan your rambles or your mountain routes.
Los Riegos’ ideal location will allow our visitors to easily get to know the central part of Asturias. It’s just one hour’s drive to Oviedo or Gijon and the beautiful beaches of our coast are not much farther. To the south, Leon also offers a very attractive natural environment.
In this privileged natural context and in cooperation with other tourism companies a great variety of open air activities can be easily arranged, such as trekking, horse riding, hunting, fishing, bird watching or observing the popular “berrea”, observing and listening to the wild cattle in the mating season.
In the attached file you can find a brief selection of the best-known and easily accessible routes and trails and their characteristics. There is also a list of the nearby museums.
